Bread is defined as a staple food that is made from a flour dough and water and typically baked. It is one of the earliest artificial foods since the beginning of agriculture. Though bread is a universal food and without realizing it, people are in some way addicted to bread, as everyday bread is a part of the daily food intake. However, bread is whole grain and is a carbohydrate, and high amount of carbohydrate is not good for the health. People suffering from obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and other diseases are cutting carbohydrate in their diet, reduce and eventually eliminate the intake of bread in the system.

Carbohydrates are turned into glucose in the body and it’s the primary fuel for the brain. The brain is always hungry for fuel, and the lack of bread will definitely has its effects during the first weeks of the no-bread diet. However, not eating bread can result in many good things in the long run, especially for people suffering of diabetes.
What to replace bread with
Bread can be replaced by consuming salmon, flaxseed and walnuts, chia seeds, lower-carb fruits such as berries, and green vegetables. It is quite hard to stop eating bread especially when it is food that is present ever since childhood, but sometimes sacrifices are needed in order to keep healthy body.
